Yu Ding
Graduated from Sichuan Fine Art Academy in China, I have strong academic training in art and design (8 years). I had worked as digital animation artist and landscape designer, which enhances my appreciation of image and materiality. I am deeply fascinated by the traditional techniques, materials and process of mural paintings in Dunhuang, as well as the culture and aesthetics behind them. I hope I can combine my training and those centuries-old techniques, and present meaningful works for our times. Aesthetics and spirituality are critical for human beings in the AI and digital era.
