Anahita Azrahimi

anahita azrahimi is a seasoned arts manager and an arts maker. Bringing artists and audiences together to nurture the joy of engaging with art has been the core of her arts management work for the past 15 years.
Currently, she is the Executive and Creative Director of Toronto Outdoor Art Fair (TOAF), Canada’s leading outdoor art fair. In this role, she has reinvigorated the organization’s legacy through strengthening its infrastructure, building robust partnerships, and implementing essential new programs for artists and the public. Her experience as a visual artist has been instrumental in gaining a deeper understanding of the needs of independent artists and the community she serves. In response to the cancellation of the 59th TOAF, she devised an agile, tech-savvy plan to move their entire community of 350 artists online, maintaining their connection to the TOAF audience and economic livelihood with unprecedented success.
anahita has experience working with a diverse range of organizations and artists in contemporary dance, theatre, and visual arts such as Creative Trust, Theatre Direct, and Dancemakers to name a few. She sits on the advisory board of the Arts Management program at Centennial College and the WeeFestival of Arts and Culture for Early Years. She has served on the board of Modern Times Stage Company, the steering committee of Cultural Pluralism in the Arts, and numerous juries including Dora Mavor Moore Awards – Dance section, Ontario Arts Council, Craft Ontario, and Design TO.

Ania Harmata

Ania Harmata is a visual artist and arts manager. Motivated by the idea of artists as entrepreneurs, Ania strives to empower and encourage opportunities for professional development for visual artists and makers. Ania holds an Honours BA and an Advanced Diploma in Art and Art History from the collaborative program between the University of Toronto Mississauga and Sheridan College. Most recently, she has completed a Graduate Certificate in Arts Management from Centennial College. The 2023 season will be her seventh show with the Toronto Outdoor Art Fair, Canada’s largest and longest-running juried outdoor art event.

Lavender Cheng

Yi Tung (Lavender) Cheng is a recent graduate of Centennial College with a Post-Graduate Certificate of Arts Management. She also holds a degree in Archaeology. She considers herself motivated by passion, hard work, and creativity. As a museum practitioner, she has a longstanding interest in widening access to art by engaging visitors with diverse curatorial perspectives. Lavender is excited to be starting her career in Arts Management by combining her knowledge and love for museums.

TeeKey Productions launched in 2017 when Producer and Production Manager Chris Teeter (Canadian Music Week, Canada’s Walk of Fame, The Toronto International Film Festival, Formula 1) and Artist Manager and Tour Manager Louisa Key (The Tragically Hip, TV on The Radio, Morcheeba, Nelly Furtado) joined their many years of live event experience together to create TeeKey Productions.

Carlos Garcia

Originally from Mexico, Carlos Garcia earned his bachelor’s degree in Communications with a focus on Cinema and Documentary production. Over the years, he has gained extensive experience in various roles within the media production industry, honing his skills and knowledge. In 2022, Carlos graduated with honours from the Arts Management program at Centennial College, where he developed a deep understanding of the business side of the arts. He also successfully participated as a Production Assistant for the TOAF61 edition, demonstrating his ability to work collaboratively and effectively under pressure. Currently, Carlos works as a Media Specialist at the AGO, where he continues to showcase his skills and expertise in media production. He is excited to be returning to TOAF62 as a Production Assistant for the second time and looks forward to contributing his knowledge, creativity and positive attitude to the team.

Abisola Oni

Abisola Oni is an emerging video and performance artist and curator based in the Greater Toronto Area. She completed a bachelor’s degree in Visual Culture and Studio Art at the University of Waterloo. Abisola has achieved various curatorial experiences in Kitchener-Waterloo and Toronto. She has curated art exhibitions and video screenings for Toronto Outdoor Art Fair and Propeller Art Gallery (2022), The Artery in the University of Waterloo (2022), University of Waterloo Art Gallery (2022), and Homer Watson Gallery (Kitchener, 2023). This is Abisola’s second year on the TOAF programming team where she coordinates online programs and artist spotlights to make sure the juried artists get all the love they deserve. After TOAF62, she will begin the University of Toronto’s Master of Visual Studies program in Curatorial Practice.

David Figueroa’s passion for the arts stems from his work as a visual artist. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Georgian College, a Certificate in Studies in Arts and Cultural Management from Brock University, and is a recent graduate of the Arts Management program at Centennial College. David has expanded his education in arts and culture to support his passion for organizing and delivering projects that use art to bring people together. He is committed to creating meaningful experiences that inspire and engage diverse communities and looks forward to continuing to explore the intersection of art and community engagement.

Sophie Stein is a fourth-year undergraduate student studying English and Theatre at McGill University. Her passion for artistic expression has taken her on a creative journey encompassing acting, playwriting, technical theatre design, visual art, and photography. Through her involvement in the arts, Sophie has had the privilege of experiencing the diverse and vibrant communities that thrive around it. As an aspiring arts administrator, Sophie is enthusiastic about launching her career in the industry and is beyond thrilled to join TOAF62 and its exceptional team!

Leah Manz is a current student in the Arts Management Specialist at University of Toronto Scarborough. She has been involved with many arts groups on campus such as ARTSIDEOUT, UTSC Drama Society, UofT Drama Coalition, and Gallery1265. The 2023 show will be her first year with Toronto Outdoor Art Fair, and Leah is excited to bring the fair to life for artists, visitors, and volunteers in Toronto and joining online.
