Ting Ting Chen
Ting Ting Chen is a fine art photographer based in Newfoundland, Canada. She
specializes in both fine art landscape and portrait photography. Her landscape work
reveals the rhythms and moods hidden within natural scenery, which she perceives and
personifies through her artistic vision. Her fine art portrait photography explores the
relationships between people and their environment, life experiences, and identities.
Ting Ting left her home in Asia and came to Newfoundland, Canada, in 2018. She
has found her new home in Newfoundland and her muse. Newfoundland is the
inspiration for her photography. Robert Tilley, a true Newfoundlander born in 1948, was
her best friend and eternal muse. Ting Ting’s portraits of Robert are a unique visual
testament to their precious friendship.
Her photography works showcasing Newfoundland and Newfoundlanders have won
multiple prestigious domestic and international art awards, including Overall Winner in
the 18th Julia Margaret Cameron Awards, Shortlisted in the Royal Photographic
Society’s International Photography Exhibit 164, and the Emerging Artist Award from
Newfoundland and Labrador Arts Council. Her photographs have been featured in
magazines and books published in Europe and North America. Her work has been
exhibited in both solo and group exhibitions in Canada, Spain, Germany, France,
Hungary, Japan, and the United States.
