Artist
Mahboube Ahmadi
Description
This 100% handcrafted Persian metal engraving (Ghalam-zani) is meticulously executed on a 0.8 mm (Gauge 20) tinned copper plate weighing 585g. Using only traditional hammers and chisels, the artist depicts the historic ceremony of "Jahaz Bordan"—the traditional wedding trousseau procession from a bygone era. Figures in detailed attire carry dowry items and play music, all framed by an exceptionally intricate ornamental border of fine floral motifs. Framed dimensions: 38×38×4 cm.
