The leaves had got out, and onto everything

The leaves had got out, and onto everything

Artist
Leslie Parker
Description
A little later in fall, the laneway fence can't hold the leaves anymore, and they get out, and onto everything. The pavement, the sky, falling from above. This painting is from that moment — yellows, pinks, greens, and reds scattered like confetti through the whole composition, with a brilliantly coloured tree overhanging a steel-blue garage door at the bend in the lane. A companion to 'A wall of leaves and a puddle of sky'. From my Toronto, Down the Rabbit Hole series.
