Oil painting of a fence completely covered in red, yellow and orange fall vines, with backs of houses and turquoise sky.

The fence in very good disguise

Artist
Leslie Parker
Description
In fall, an ordinary fence between two houses can become almost unrecognizable — completely costumed in vines, red in the shade and yellow and orange where the sun hits. This painting is of one of those fences, glimpsed from a laneway, with a car parked just behind catching a piece of the sky in its windshield. The backs of the houses rise behind in geometric shapes, under a turquoise sky full of moving clouds. From my Toronto, Down the Rabbit Hole series.
