The fence in very good disguise
- Artist
- Leslie Parker
- Description
- In fall, an ordinary fence between two houses can become almost unrecognizable — completely costumed in vines, red in the shade and yellow and orange where the sun hits. This painting is of one of those fences, glimpsed from a laneway, with a car parked just behind catching a piece of the sky in its windshield. The backs of the houses rise behind in geometric shapes, under a turquoise sky full of moving clouds. From my Toronto, Down the Rabbit Hole series.
