The snow beginning to remember it was water
- Artist

- Description
- A few weeks after Toronto's record snowfall, the temperature finally warmed and all that snow began to melt. Walking through Leslieville, it was the road that caught my eye — the slushy tire tracks reflecting the sky, the trees and the laneway buildings above, the snow beginning to remember it was water. Painted with thick, lively brushstrokes, the patterns of the tracks take on an almost abstract quality, the whole scene hovering between winter and spring.
