Oil painting of a snowy laneway opening between two tall walls, with tire tracks leading toward bare distant trees.

A snowy lane opened up before me

Artist
Leslie Parker
Description
On a snowy winter walk, I passed between two buildings and a quiet laneway opened up ahead of me — wood picket fences and garages all softened under fresh snow, evergreens on one side, bare maples in the distance in greys and pinks. A single set of tire tracks led down the lane, suggesting someone had just passed through. This painting is from that moment. From my Toronto, Down the Rabbit Hole series.
