Medusa

Artist
Brigitta Kocsis
Description
Navigating the tension between representation and abstraction, my figures emerge or dissolve into patterned spaces that intentionally disrupt conventional legibility. Together, these strategies interrogate how embodiment is shaped by mediated culture. This formal instability also enables feminist reconfigurations of mythological figures, such as Medusa holding a pixelated child. These representations address marginality and reconsider care, vulnerability, and resilience.
