Dear Friend of TOAF,

The big birthday is finally here. Toronto Outdoor Art Fair is officially 65 years old.

And TOAF at 65 is looking good — as relevant, ambitious, and impactful as ever, and not retiring anytime soon. Because how this Fair started is timeless: a simple belief that art belongs in public space, free and accessible to everyone.

When we began planning TOAF65, we searched for one word to frame the whole event. That word was Uplifting.

It’s what TOAF has done for 65 years: uplift artists, the public, and this city. And getting to this moment has been exactly that.

There is so much love in our community for our artists, and it shows up in beautiful, surprising, caring ways. Today, artists arrived at registration to find a handmade, handwritten birthday card — with a $65 gift card to spend on the work of their peers. That’s uplifting❣️

So join us here at Nathan Phillips Square this weekend. Take it all in, and take your time with TOAF65. Get to know our artists, enjoy special programs, the curated showcases, the national spotlights — Canada is present in every colour, every perspective, and almost every region.
