My First Artwork

Presented by the Art Dealers Association of Canada
Friday, July 10 & Saturday, July 11, 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Sunday, July 12, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: Centre of Zone A

For the first time in Toronto Outdoor Art Fair history, the TOAF and ADAC are presenting a curated collection exhibiting artists, highlighting accessibility and the importance of building a collection from any price point. This booth is called the “First Artwork Program” and is designed to allow young buyers and emerging artists a chance to collide.

The ADAC will be curating a space which will reflect the presence from Canadian artists, coast to coast, that are present at the fair. Works selected will showcase a diverse selection of originals, ranging from painting, drawing, photography, and sculpture. The curation of the booth will complement the ADAC’s 60th Anniversary, as well as TOAF’s 65th Anniversary.

Each artwork will be priced $500.00 and under, allowing young professionals aged 20 – 35, an opportunity to purchase work within their budget. Collectors will have the chance to talk about building a collection with ADAC representatives, and ask questions about the work as well as best buying practices.

The Art Dealers Association of Canada

The Art Dealers Association of Canada (ADAC) was founded in 1966 as a not-for-profit trade organization, binding together the largest representation of major private commercial galleries in Canada, who in turn represent the country’s leading visual artists, both contemporary and historic.

As Canada’s leading professional arts trade organization we strive to raise the profile of Canadian Visual Art and Artists, exploring and expanding markets for Canadian Art Dealers and their artists both in Canada and Internationally. Our membership has a unique expertise and knowledge base in an extremely esoteric but profitable sector. We seek to amplify the voices of all Canadian Visual Artists, not only with the goal of exposing the world to their talents, but also as a way to realize monetary value and revenue from our government’s continued investment in Canadian Culture.
