Sue Davies
Sue Davies works on art every day from her home studio in Oakville, Ontario. An Honours Art degree from McMaster University, teaching middle school art for the Halton District School Board and travels nurtured her love for patterns. Rooted in Cubist structure, influenced by architecture, her work seeks stability in a fractured world. Line becomes scaffolding, repetition layered colour and shape construct spaces where memory can settle. Growing up in Dundas, Ontario with a bi-polar parent Sue learned to value structure as grounding. Her maximalist Cubist paintings act as visual maps offering clarity, direction and moments of certainty in uncertain times.
