I grew up in Cornwall Ontario, Canada living summers at our cottage on the Saint Lawrence River, surrounded miles of life filled wetlands.

My work is highly intuitive and, along with early Renaissance art, I count comic books, ink illustrations by John Teniel and Edward Gorey, Marc Chagall's paintings and etchings, Bugs Bunny, and Mad Magazine as influences on my work. Adding to this list are 100-plus-year-old dress catalog engravings and, most recently, botanical illustrations.

Painting is an emotional and intuitive experience for me and I portray water, flora and fauna to create a world where dreams, the divine, and the everyday come to play. I paint with oil, watercolours, and draw with ink, and see my art as a deep expression of aliveness and transformation.

I graduated from the Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto and currently live in Wakefield Quebec on the Gatineau River, downstream from my art studio.
