Description

The textile work consists of a series of ghostly cut-out collection of manmade creatures. The patterns references ancient Chinese folklores and mythical creatures, while in some regions, people believe if you cut out a paper figure of themselves and burn a hole on the figure where they feel ill or pain, the pain will go away by magic. This work elaborates on the idea of how do people view themself, if multiple selves exist or not, and what is considered human in contemporary culture.
