Description

Serena’s practice elevates overlooked moments, and here she reflects on her Italian upbringing and the role food plays in bringing people together. She prepared childhood dishes from recipes passed down through generations and invited her family to gather in her home, documenting the table’s messy remains. She dyes raw canvas with pigments from food before stretching it. She then paints the remnants in acrylic.
