Hayley’s series, eyedawaya”ii (on both sides), examines Indigeneity and the experience of being an Indigenous person moving through today’s world while healing and reconnecting with culture. She explores the tension between beauty and hardship. The bright, joyful works celebrate Indigenous pride and resilience, while darker, rougher pieces speak to agony and hardship.
