This work is a stitched drawing that references sketches I did while in the Provence village of Vaison Le Romaine, France. I loved wandering around this medieval hillside settlement, then discovering a lovely view across to the historic area from a hilltop in the new part of town. White linen is embroidered freely with blue threads using a basic domestic sewing machine as my drawing tool. The artwork measures 7.5” x13.5” framed within a 13”x 18” contemporary white wood frame, ready to hang.
