Tulips and Jugs Still Life

Description

I collected together all the jugs in our home to draw. Each piece holds a memory, a story of my travels near and far, of the people and places cherished. I was given a a beautiful big bunch of tulips, and enjoyed adding them into this still life set up, trying to capture their gorgeous colour and shape. Bright and metallic threads are embroidered onto white linen using my basic domestic sewing machine as a drawing tool. I stitch freely over the surface creating rich texture, patternand image.
