Description

I love to set up still life’s to draw from and in this composition the focus is a very special antique treadle Singer sewing machine. I liked to imagine little helpers sewing in the studio with me, a community of nostalgic pieces that come to life.
Bright and metallic threads are embroidered onto white linen using my basic domestic sewing machine as a drawing tool. I stitch freely over the surface creating rich texture, pattern and image. Framed within within a 16”x 16”white wood frame.
