- Description
- Yggdrasil is an eternal, holy ash tree (arbor) holding the nine worlds in Norse cosmology. It acts as the "World Tree," connecting nine distinct realms, including Asgard (gods), Midgard (humans), and Niflheim (underworld). It serves as a sacred structure representing the cosmos, life, death, and renewal, with its roots nourishing all existence and its branches holding the fate of all beings. The gods (Aesir) travel to its base daily for council.
