From a small series of paintings inspired from Carroll's Alice's Adventures In Wonderland, the Queen of Hearts is depicted as Anne Boleyn. She's carrying a tree branch holding the Cheshire Cat while within the 'garden' below her waistcoat the Mad Hatter's hat and the blue caterpillar can be found. The flowers are Spring and early summer blooms found in England.
