Description

As a child growing up near boggy lands, the simultaneous properties of wetlands to support growth and preserve old wood fascinated me. I would wonder what lay buried and preserved in the boggy depths while the march of time went on for centuries and millennia above the waterline. The log in the foreground of this painting lying in the water, is an eco system supporting life, while it is itself being preserved in the wetlands in an endless beautiful circle of renewal.
