Description

I find something mesmerizing about vast stretches of bulrushes reaching to the horizon with their interesting velvety spikes. Ubiquitous to wetlands they shimmer as they shift and stir in the wind and sunlight with a kinetic energy that simultaneously calms and enlivens the spirit. Tall and elegant, they seem to invite the viewer in, but we can only view from afar or perhaps we can take a canoe through them as they are as rooted in water as they are in human history.
