Description

When times get tough, I go inside, locking myself away in the chamber of my mind. The pandemic intensified that response from me and ultimately manifested in sickness of mind, body, and spirit. This piece sports many thorns, protective devices against the harsh outside world. Thorns ward off and safeguard creatures from myriad potential harms. Ironically, the tough exterior doesn’t protect against the worst torment and damage, which is inflicted from within.
