Toronto's City Hall as seen through the lens of Chinese diaspora- occupying the site of Toronto's first Chinatown, the City Hall and Nathan Phillips Square complex was built on land that was expropriated by the city in the 1950s and 1960s in an era of large scale civic projects and urban renewal in Toronto. In Loving Memory explores how collective memory and our built urban form illuminates immigrant struggles from the past that have shaped our present.
