Through the Gate
- 7 Works Collective
This painting was created during my first artists' residency on Toronto Island. I spent 2 weeks painting full time in relative isolation (who knew this would be my training for isolation in 2020). On a rainy spring day, I took in my surroundings. The area where people line up for the ferry is surrounded by a grid fence. I based this on my observations of the colours and geometry of the fence along with the yellow green planter on the pathway, without ignoring the rain.
Work is ready to hang.
