Wendy Hutchinson

As an artisan, Wendy creates purposeful porcelain objects, guided by the complexity of simplicity. With functional ware as well as a growing foray into decorative vessel, she seeks to bring the art of function and beauty of form to everyday life. Based in Barrie, ON, she received 2017 residency grant funding from the Ontario Arts Council (an agency of the Ontario Gov't) to fulfill her core training at La Meridiana International School of Ceramics, Italy. Since then, Wendy has enjoyed many opportunities to explore and share her practice, from development residencies to the FUSION Clay-Glass Show and now with her 3rd showing at TOAF. Her work has been commissioned for private collections, fundraising events, and advertising campaigns. As a proud member of Craft Ontario, her work is also available at the Craft Ontario Shop, Toronto.
