Tash Damjanovic
Tash Damjanovic is a Toronto-based fine art photographer. Her images transform cityscapes into contemplative spaces where meaning emerges through pauses, traces, and thresholds. Through a painterly visual language and alternative photographic processes, including Polariod Emulsion Lifts, she creates photographs that balance material texture and colour with emotional quiet.
Her practice engages contemporary photography’s interest in the poetics of place, the psychological interiority of the image, and the reimagining of the everyday as a site of meaning. Her work speaks to the fragmentation of attention, the search for refuge, and the possibility of finding the sacred within ordinary experience. Her photographs invite viewers to reconsider how urban environments hold emotional residue, memory, and transformation.
The result is a body of work that treats looking as both an aesthetic and existential act.
Damjanovic’s work has been exhibited in Canada, US and internationally.
