Sandamali Angunawela

I am a self-taught artist, originally from Sri Lanka. My primary mediums include acrylic paint and pencil drawings in graphite, coloured pencil and charcoal. I capture the physical beauty of human beings in pure, naked, and stilled movements through acrylic paint.

I am an emerging artist, having started my artistic practice in the last five years, developing skills and techniques, while also featuring in a variety of fairs, festivals, and exhibitions across the GTA and Quebec. In that time, I have been the recipient of several art awards, including the Emerging Artist by Emerging Curator award from Toronto Outdoor Art Fair (TOAF) in 2022.
