Rana Baidas

Now living in Toronto, Rana is a Canadian artist of Jordanian and Palestinian roots. Earning her BFA from Jordan. Rana's journey then took her to Dubai almost a decade. Being a crossroads of cultures, Dubai was the place to explore various forms of Art.
Later, relocating to Canada where she further enhanced and enriched her skills, talent and creativity . A journey marked with highlight participations at renowned Canadian and international Art Exhibitions.

Artist's Statement
I am a contemporary figurative painter. My art explores the essence of people.
I'm always searching for scenes that catches my eye to develop into paintings. Painting allows me to create a composition onto a two- dimensional surface giving an illusion of space and depth.
Aiming to achieve a balance of simplicity and a reflection of sincerity and calmness.

My latest pieces of oil paint have been inspired from my curiosity in details of decades ago.
