My art education began with an MA and continued at Goldsmith College, Ontario College of Art in Toronto (1985 – 1988) and less formally - in London, England ( Camden Arts Centre ) and Norway, where I was street performing for tourists during the late 70's.
In 2008 I was elected to the Ontario Society of Artists ( I remained a member till 2019 ). In 2008 I joined the Propeller Art Gallery, a non-profit artist-run centre ( a member till 2018 ).
I am fascinated about human conditions. Through my work I explore the human experience of loneliness and isolation - creating a paradox between joyful colours and darker subject matter. My artistic work has consistently been an exploration of the past, strongly rooted in history. Working with a minimalistic approach, I leave space for viewers to explore and wander through simple visual trails.
My paintings are in private collections in Europe, USA, Korea and Canada.
