MinSeo Whee
MinSeo Whee (May) is a Korean metalsmith and emerging jewellery artist based in Toronto, Ontario. She studied Material Art & Design at OCAD University, where she developed her interest in combining traditional metalwork with contemporary materials and processes. She draws inspiration from organic forms and emotional memory.
With a background in fine art, she brings painterly sensitivity into her jewellery through the thoughtful use of colour, texture, and form. Her practice incorporates a range of techniques, including 3D scanning, hand-painted details, and mixed media, allowing her to create intimate, narrative-driven pieces.
Her recent work explores memory and emotion through silver inlay wearable pieces, incorporating vibrant colours, symbolic forms, and collected objects to tell deeply personal and imaginative stories.
