MinSeo Whee
MinSeo Whee is a Toronto-based jewellery artist and metalsmith. She graduated with a Bachelor of Design in Material Art & Design from OCAD University with Distinction.
Her practice explores jewellery as more than decoration, viewing it as a vessel for memory, emotion, and personal storytelling. Through fine metalwork, mixed media, colour, texture, and collected objects, she transforms cherished memories and everyday experiences into tangible, wearable forms. Her pieces often draw from nature, personal objects, and visual fragments, creating works that blur the line between adornment, sculpture, and storytelling.
Working with techniques such as silversmithing, traditional Korean inlay, and digital processes like 3D scanning, MinSeo balances craftsmanship with experimentation. At the core of her practice is the belief that jewellery can carry personal histories, invite reflection, and become an intimate object of connection between the wearer, the maker, and memory.
