My practice continues to evolve as I work through the deeply personal yet widely experienced journey of aging as a woman. Incorporating mixed media elements such as dishes, pearls, lace, fibers, etc. help me to work through my understanding of the items in our everyday life and their imbued value and meaning. The main focus of each piece is a portrait of a woman, some well known, and some not, and from there a narrative is formed intuitively using a variety of materials and techniques including painting, collage, sewing, or mosaic.
I began my artistic journey as a floral painter in 2018, with pieces in collection throughout North America and Europe. I continue to use my art practice to filter my experiences, express emotion, and tell stories.
