Maria Iva

Maria Iva is an Ontario-based landscape painter and instructor whose work captures the beauty of the province’s natural landscapes throughout the changing seasons. Using a palette knife with oils on canvas or soft pastels on sanded paper, Maria’s technique is rooted in the impressionistic colorist approach, where vibrant colors and bold strokes convey the essence of a scene rather than focusing on precise details. As an elected member of the Society of Canadian Artists and the Ontario Art Society, and with master signature status with Pastel Artists Canada, Maria’s work reflects her deep connection to nature and her dedication to sharing its beauty through art.
