Frostillo Frostillo
FROSTILLO is a multidisciplinary artist based in Toronto, working at the intersection of print, painting, fibre art, sculpture, and public art. With a background in both fine art and the skilled trades, they design and build custom tools, surfaces, and structural supports—bringing a hands-on, inventive approach to everything they make. FROSTILLO’s work explores colour, geometry, and materiality on a large scale, often creating immersive pieces that reflect emotional states and sensory experience. They also create murals and life-sized public sculptures as a way to contribute to the communities they live in and to make art more accessible, interactive, and connective.
At TOAF65, FROSTILLO will be exhibiting 2D works on paper and canvas. The artist uses vibrant gradients in their silkscreen print series as representations of a single day in their life. Colour is used as a visual language to document how an individual's mood can shift and evolve during the day as challenges arise that disrupt our daily life.
From September 2025 - August 2026, FROSTILLO has been the artist-in-residence winner of the 401 Richmond Career Launcher Prize, which is a 500 sq ft studio space for 1 year at no cost to the artist.
