Laura Papworth
My name is Laura and I’m a metalsmith and jeweller working in downtown Toronto. My education started at Toronto Metropolitan University where I studied fashion and design. I went back to school at George Brown College where I graduated from the Jewellery Arts Program.
My process is largely material driven. I seek to elevate materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, acrylic, and wood and treat them the same way I would precious metals in fine jewellery. I design my pieces to showcase the precision, craftsmanship, and engineering that go into their creation.
My line of work includes earrings, brooches, pendants, and rings.
