Pino Cao
Pino Cao is a Mississauga-based artist whose work explores the relationship between science and art. With a background in both art and civil engineering, Pino brings together technical thinking and expressive visual language in her creative practice.
Her ongoing series considers whether aspects of life, such as childhood, memory, and the passage of time, can ever be fully defined. Influenced by the visual language of old blueprints, she works primarily in shades of blue and white, combining loose, continuous lines with engineering-style markings. Within this structure, moments of uncertainty, distance, and emotional weight begin to surface.
Pino studied animation at Sheridan College, where she received the Walt Disney Bursary and first prize in the CICAN 2021 Student Showcase. Her work has been exhibited in juried shows including the Toronto Outdoor Art Fair (2025 Curated Collection) and Artist Project, as well as regional exhibitions. She has also collaborated with the City of Mississauga on public art initiatives, including the 2023 Light Pole Banner project.
