My work draws deeply from personal narratives; most notably my time in Cusco, Peru where I volunteered in early childhood education in 2015. I was profoundly moved by the resilience of the Indigenous people as they navigated daily hardships. Despite limited resources, they infused their homes with warmth, beauty, hope and a spirit of perseverance. Through my series of paintings, I seek to honor and express the emotional richness and strength of the people I encountered there.
The town of Oakville continues to be a source of inspiration for me. I’m always captivated by the way light shapes the landscapes. In this series of neighborhood focused paintings, I’m exploring how light drifts across urban structures and natural spaces, creating moments that feel both tranquil and timeless.
Based in Oakville. Newly graduated from Sheridan College Visual Creative Art Advanced program. Received First Prize at the Oakville Art Society Annual Juried Show. Solo and Group exhibitions at Oakville Galleries, Holcim Gallery, Gallery 1313. Slipvillan Artist-in-Residence in Stockholm, Sweden.
