Gurdeep Singh
An Indo -Canadian artist, Gurdeep draws inspiration from his surroundings, transforming the energy of everyday life into vibrant and expressive works that celebrate positivity ,movement and human connection.His practice explores the relationship between colour, rhythm , texture and emotion often blending abstract with intuitive mark- making to create artworks that feels both spontaneous and deeply reflective. Through painting, he seeks to capture movements of joy, resilience , and contemplation, inviting viewers into spaces of visual harmony and emotional engagement.
Since earning his MFA in painting in 2001, he has maintained a dedicated and evolving artistic practice and was twice artist-in-residence at the Vermont Studio Center in 2005 and 2010. He presented nine Solo exhibitions and exhibited in numerous curated group shows , art fairs and art auctions around the world.His works are part of various public and private collections including in the collection of Essl Art Museum Vienna ,Austria.
