Gurdeep Singh
An Indo-Canadian visual artist with a BFA and MFA, he has exhibited widely with 8 solo shows and more than 100 invited group shows across Asia,Europe and America.Twice an artist in residence at Vermont Studio Center ,USA(2005, 2010),his practice explores the emotional power of colour inspired by culturally rich Indian traditions. His work embraces vibrant hues, layered textures ,sweeping strokes and shifting forms to convey the dualities of life- thick vs thin, control vs spontaneity ,conscious vs sub conscious.Through intuitive gestures ,he navigate between chance and intention, seeking to create a universal visual language and celebrate life, memory and immediacy of the moment. Each painting becomes a dialogue between the seen and the felt-personal yet collectively resonant.
