GREG HOLMAN
I build my paintings through light, tonal, and contrast relationships rather than subject. Working primarily in black, white, and grey acrylic on wood panel, with occasional restrained color accents, I create shifting spatial fields where form emerges through layered tonal interaction. The paintings record structure in the process of forming rather than arriving at a final identity, leaving open whether fragments are assembling into coherence or dissolving from it.
