Collective 919
Established in 2024, Collective 919 is an artist-led initiative committed to curating exhibitions by artists, for artists. Our mission is to build a supportive and collaborative network where artists help one another showcase their work with confidence, care, and integrity. By sharing resources, knowledge, and labor, we aim to reduce the barriers to exhibition and foster a culture of mutual aid and artistic solidarity.
We believe in the power of collective action to uplift artists and enrich the communities we belong to. In 2025, we held a group exhibition at the Clark Centre for the Arts, with upcoming shows at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts and the Etobicoke Civic Centre. Through our ongoing efforts, we strive to expand access, build lasting connections, and strengthen the presence of artist-led initiatives within the wider arts landscape.
