Born and raised in Oshawa, Ontario, Claudette Losier received her Honours BA in Fine Arts in 1989 from Brock University. Since 2005, Claudette has been pursuing her art career full time. A major focus of her current work is a series titled Sense of Place - Energiescapes described as a “surreal abstract impressionism” of the scene, captures the essence of energy in the urban or rural landscapes shaped by peoples and objects movements and expressions shaping life giving a sense of place, memory, or dream!

Claudette’s work has been acquired by public institutions and corporate and private collections internationally. Some highlights include an acquirement of her transfer oil painting CinderPoppy by the City of Toronto, an acquirement of her City Scape Night Vision painting by the Ontario Government, and Night Vision Downtown by Hamilton Superior Court House. The selection of her painting titled Chasing in the Palermo Biennale in Italy, and inclusion in an exhibition titled Artificial Intelligence at the Marzia Frozen Gallery in Berlin in 2014, and two paintings selected for wall murals in the “Up Your Alley” contest in Hamilton Ontario. In 2018 selected in group show at BG Gallery in Santa Monica “Truth is Stranger than Fiction”, and later in 2020 Circulatory Works Cluster Installation at LA Art Fair. She has also participated in numerous local events such as the Hamilton Super Crawl, Toronto Outdoor Art Fair and the Queen West Art Crawl. Recently in 2024 two paintings were purchased by the Toronto Resource Library art collection, and commission painting for TD Bank in Toronto of new Tower.
