Betty Brouwer
Bringing together her love of texture, collage, and collecting stones and sticks, Betty’s art reveals rich snippets of stories as she stitches various pieces into mixed media textile assemblages. For Betty the process of art making is intuitive: frayed remnants and worn edges hold memories that, when stitched together, create a coherent narrative out of the seemingly chaotic and disparate pieces. In the midst of the sometimes unraveling or crude stitches, hope emerges. Please feel free to email Betty at [email protected] if you have any questions abut her work.
