Description

A free standing hollow form felted vessel patterned after a real Eastern Redbud leaf (Cercis canadensis). A patch of rusted silk is felted into one surface to remind us that due to habitat loss the species no longer naturally occupies its native range in Ontario but rather is planted. Made over a resist using the wet felted method. Can be posed on its side to look extra cool.
