Description

In my painting called Truth, breakable objects that are anxiously near table edges reflect the reality of life’s vulnerability. The mirror’s illusive reflection of the teacup and books seems sturdy, yet in reality, its instability can shatter in a single moment. There’s a Latin phrase: “ars longa, vita brevis” which translates to art is long, life is short”. I continuously ponder how art transcends death. My work is fueled by the convergence of fear and love.
