Description

Found photographs or appropriated art historical images are deconstructed into fine paper strands and interwoven with shimmering metallic and holographic threads, to make a woven paper 'cloth' alive with light, to evoke the numinous, the sacred (although not necessarily religious). This appropriated image of a Madonna is interrupted with a golden geometry of woven pattern, to obscure the image with mystery, while evoking the ancient pagan symbol for the unification of male/female.
