Description

I make woven paper 'cloth' by deconstructing found photographs or appropriated art historical images into fine paper strands and interweaving with shimmering metallic and holographic threads, to evoke the numinous, the sacred (although not necessarily religious). This appropriated image of Archangel Gabriel is interrupted with a golden geometry of woven pattern, to obscure the image with mystery, while hinting at the underlying mathematical and scientific order of life.
