Pasty white in colour and heavy of bow the BELUGA was a joint design carried out by the UK, Canada, and the United States.
Design elements of all three countries can be seen by the vessels namesake; Beluga from Canada, the design of the conning tower
similar to that of the British B1 and the Mickey Mouse ears styled sonar apparatus of the conning tower
