Mansur uses a palette knife to create a textured terrain with impasto layers. Translucent glazes wash over the surface and pool in valleys or fall over edges. This process builds a monochromatic mass. Embedded circular resin sculptures generate changing reflections. The artwork starts to bloom as you move around it. Muted circles transform into gleaming beacons that intermittently shine. Paradoxically waxy and reflective, these circles both mirror and obscure the viewer.
