Unframed. Acrylic on 1/2 inch, baltic-birch plywood. Monochromatic red colours, butterfly quilt design. One thousand red means there are a lot of something (in this case butterflies).

The overall depth is 3.5 in. There is a 3 inch deep 7 x 26 in. wood-box attached to the back of the painting that you can't see from the edges of the painting. This creates an image where the butterflies appear to float or hover over the wall.
